Trail-Mix Hike

Location of Pocahontas State Park in Virginia

Where

Pocahontas State Park, 10301 State Park Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23832.
Visitor Center

When

Sept. 1, 2025. 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Don't be afraid to mix it up. Join us for a short leg-stretcher along portions of Big Poplar, Ground Pine, Beaver Lake, and Old Mill trails. You'll see a variety of wildlife, encounter natural landscapes, and learn more about the park's history.

These trails are moderate and participants will need to navigate uneven hard packed surfaces, up and down gradual inclines and declines, for approximately one mile. Please come properly equipped and dress for the weather. Trails are not stroller-friendly, and the use of a child carrier is recommended. Leased pets are welcomed.

Please email Rebecca.Whalen@dcr.virginia.gov or call 804-796-4472 for more information.
