Join a ranger to learn about science, history, and nature at Leesylvania State Park! Please check the dates below for specific topics and be sure to sign up. This program is intended for children ages 5-17 years old. Rangers are prepared for rain or shine, so please dress for the weather.

September 5, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.: Wondrous Watershed - There are many different watersheds big and small that Leesylvania resides in. Join a ranger as they talk about the local watersheds you use on a daily basis and what is currently impacting them. You will have the chance to collect trash and leave with tips on how to make a positive impact on the watersheds you live in.

September 26, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.: Fishing 101 - Fishing can be as easy as tying your shoes. Join rangers at the park to learn the basics of fishing, including knot tying and casting. Angling is a hobby suitable for anyone and our clinic is designed to instruct novices on the basics.
