Ask a Ranger is a program designed to provide more opportunities for the community to ask questions and have conversations with our park rangers. We will cover different themes throughout the year. For this installment, we'll be focusing on our park's history.

Westmoreland State Park was developed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's New Deal. If you’d like the opportunity to learn more about our park's historical significance, a ranger will be stationed in the Visitor’s Center on August 27th, from 1pm to 3pm, to provide insights and answer questions.
