Do you like to get hands-on experience looking for cool critters? The Appalachian Mountains are home to many unique salamander species. Get ready to get your feet wet as we search for some of these and use what we find to keep an eye on how healthy our water is. This program is conducted in accordance with Virginia state law; park staff possess the proper training and permits to collect and briefly handle certain wildlife.
