Join us for a guided program that explores the action at the Lockett Farm and Double Bridges, two locations tied to the fighting on April 6, 1865. This site visit gives visitors the chance to stand on the ground where key moments unfolded and to see how each setting contributed to the larger story of the battle.

Visitors should meet at the Visitor Center at the scheduled program time. From there, participants will drive individually to the Lockett House to begin the discussion and examine the events associated with that part of the field. After completing this portion of the program, visitors will then drive to Double Bridges to continue the exploration of the fighting connected with this phase of the battle. Participants are encouraged to wear walking shoes, bring water, and dress for changing spring conditions. This outdoor program includes some uneven terrain and natural surfaces.
