The American Black Bear is one of our largest mammals in Virginia and people occasionally come in contact with them while enjoying outdoor spaces. But you don't need to worry, our interpretive rangers are happy to share their tips and tricks for bear safety and minimizing contact. They'll also share fun facts about these fascinating animals using pelts, skulls, and other artifacts.
