Who Made Those Tracks?

Location of Douthat State Park in Virginia

Where

Program Location: Discovery Center
Main Park Address: Douthat State Park, 14239 Douthat State Park Rd., Millboro, VA 24460.

When

May 26, 2026. 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Animals may be shy, but they leave plenty of clues behind. From muddy paw prints by the creek to trails in the sand, tracks can tell us who’s been exploring our park. Can you tell the difference between a coyote track and a domestic dog’s? Put your tracking skills to the test, then create your own plaster cast of an animal track to take home.

Meet at the Discovery Center.

Parks are for everyone. If you have accessibility questions or concerns, please call 540-862-8114 or email Hannah.Johnson@dcr.virginia.gov.
