Always wanted to try fishing but did not know where to start? Meet some fishing enthusiasts and trained guides at Gordon Pond to try your hand at fishing! It’s a free fishing weekend for Virginia, so you do not need a license to try this exciting sport. Fishing rods and tackle will be available. Meet park interpreters at Gordon Pond, an approximate ¾ to 1 ½ miles hike from of the three parking lots at Sweet Run State Park.
