Rock Springs Pond Trailhead

When

July 27, 2025. 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Do you like to get muddy and search for the tiniest critters living in a stream, creek, or pond? Ecosystems are quite complex and diverse.

This is a ranger led hike to Rock Spring Pond.  We will use dip nets to gently collect specimens. We will then use ID sheets for stream insects, macroinvertebrates, and crustaceans! Let's determine which species we've discovered and collected!  Once we've determined the species we can learn more about each one before we release them to their home!

Register for this program in-advance by calling or visiting the Visitor Center.

If you arrive to the Discovery Center and we're already gone, meet us at Rock Spring Pond!
