Spring has sprung and it's time to look for wildflowers in our park. Join volunteer Melanie Smith as she leads us on a walk to discover what kinds of wildflowers begin to emerge in our region as the season changes. Learn all about the tips and tricks associated with identifying wildflowers, and hear a bit about the folklore associated with them as well.

About Earth Day
In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Virginia State Parks offers a range of special events and activities highlighting the importance of conservation and sustainability. Visitors are invited to participate in educational programs, guided nature walks, wildlife observation, tree plantings and service projects to help preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the state’s 44 parks.
