March 11, 2025. 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park, in collaboration with Phil Meeks with the Wise County Virginia Cooperative Extension Agency, will host two tree grafting workshops on Tuesday March 11 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Rootstock and several varieties of scion wood will be available. If participants have old varieties they’d like to graft, they’re welcome to bring their own scion cuttings. Each registered person will get seven rootstocks, and additional may be purchased at the workshop for $1 each.

Registration is $20 and you can sign up at the Virginia Cooperative Extension office in Wise or by reaching out to Phil Meeks via email at pmeeks@vt.edu or phone at (276) 328-6194.
