Calling all homeschoolers to join the rangers at Pocahontas State Park for monthly programs on the third Monday of the month. These hands-on programs are designed for the whole family and will introduce everyone to a variety of nature-themed activities.

Frosty February- Virginia weather can be unpredictable. Come join the Rangers in learning about how we can be our own meteorologists and predict the local weather. We will cover everything from snow to clouds to homemade meteorological tools.

The cost is $3 per child, with ages 3 and under free of charge; parking fees are waived. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes for hiking. Pack a picnic and enjoy the park afterwards. Programs run from 10:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:00-2:30 p.m.
