Wednesday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Children can experience Virginia’s frontier like never before. Follow in the footsteps of our forefathers through hands on activities. Learn about fire starting, gardening, blacksmithing and more. Discover what daily life was like in 1775. On the final day of the program, participants will celebrate and receive a Junior Pioneer official certificate.

Pre-registration is required.

Limit of 10 participants each session.

Payment required at registration. Non-refundable.

Fee of $20 per child that includes daily activities and snacks.

Children help a Ranger set up a canvas tarp tent.
