Ms. Davis started with the Department of Wildlife Resources in 2018 as the region's Nuisance Bear Coordinator and became a District Wildlife Biologist in the spring of 2021. Her district includes Botetourt, Bedford, Roanoke, Franklin, Patrick, Henry, and Pittsylvania counties.

The Winter Lecture Series is presented by the Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Proceeds go to help fund educational programs and projects in the park. Dates for the 2025 Winter Lecture series include January 5, February 2, March 2, and April 13.
