Fall is the perfect time for a campfire. Meet us at the campfire ring near the picnic shelter off Farmstead Loop Trail. Bring a camp chair or blanket to sit on since there are no chairs at the campfire ring. Also bring a mug, we will have some warm beverages to share, while supplies last. We will talk about the history of Chestnut trees in the area, and what is being done to bring them back. We do plan to roast some chestnuts over the fire please be aware of allergens. Please RSVP to the Park Interpreter Meg meg.doppee@dcr.viriginia.gov if you plan to attend so we can plan ahead. Rain cancels.
