Participants who attend the “Caring for your Cast Iron” workshop will learn about the history and evolution of cast iron cookware, and will discuss the techniques for cooking, cleaning, seasoning, and storing their cast iron cookware, and talk about the science behind dispelling common myths about cast iron. They will learn multiple methods to create their own seasoning, along with a small sample to take home. Participants will make their own hand-made custom potholder as well.
