Forest Trails are not just for bikers. Hike with a park ranger down these wide gravel trails, to see parts of the park less traveled. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. These hikes will be around one or two miles in length.
7/12-Loop: Loop Forest Trail is one of the bigger satellite parking lots off of Courthouse Rd, heavily utilized by mountain bikers. Explore the northern boundary of the park and see what coexists with the mighty mountain bikers. Meet at Loop Forest Trail Parking Lot.
7/26-Gil: The south side of the park can provide a moment of quiet for hikers, wildlife, and history. Explore how the park came to be, the Black Girl Scouts who utilized Group Camp 7, and how it all comes together today. Meet at Bright Hope Horse Complex.
