Do you want to be a part of history?

Join us as we celebrate our 25th anniversary by burying a time capsule! The time capsule will be filled with old photographs, maps, and more from the park's past! The capsule will be reopened on our 50th anniversary on June 19, 2049. Everyone is welcome to attend and contribute to the time capsule! The ceremony will also include speeches and stories from park staff and volunteers. You don't want to miss this incredible celebration!

If you have any old photographs, crafts, old key chains, postcards, or other memorabilia from the park that you would like to add to the time capsule, please email megan.goin@dcr.virginia.gov as soon as possible. Additions to the time capsule must be pre-approved at least 1 week before the event.

Please bring a lawn chair or blanket if you plan to attend.
