The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park will host its first “Lunch on the Lawn” summer music series for the 2024 season on Sunday, June 2, from 2 to 3 p.m., featuring The Timeless Strings Band.

The Timeless Strings Band consist of Richard Phillips, Jim Terrell and Roger Bays. The band has played at numerous venues throughout Southwest Virginia. Their laid-back style of music is appreciated by a wide range of fans. Their choice of songs covers most of the musical spectrum, as the name of the band implies. An afternoon with The Timeless Strings Band is like sitting on your front porch with a group of friends.

Park staff and volunteers will have crafts and activities for children at each “Lunch on the Lawn” program. So, bring the whole family out, have some fun in the beautiful Victorian Garden and enjoy an afternoon of home-grown music and entertainment on the lawn of the museum.

The “Lunch on the Lawn” event is free and open to the public. Participants should bring their lunch.
