Help us celebrate the 25th Anniversary of James River State Park!
Join us for a day-long celebration that will include cake, barbecue, music, river activities, a car show, free wagon rides, and much more. A free shuttle service will also be running the day of to assist folks on and off the river. Stick around until 9 p.m. for a special night sky viewing program. Please contact the James River State Park for more details.
10 a.m. - Kick-off: Float the river with 40 tubes available on a first come, first serve basis.
12 to 5 p.m. - Special displays around Shelter #4, including car show, demonstrations, food trucks, children's activities.
1 p.m. - Cake cutting/door prize drawing at Shelter#4.
1 to 4 p.m. - Free wagon rides starting at Shelter #4.
3 p.m. - Friends of James River State Park Duck Race at the Canoe Landing.
7 p.m. - Live music at the Amphitheater.
9 p.m. - Dark Sky Program at Shelter #4.
*Free shuttle service provided from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for those floating the river.
