Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Earth Day Scavenger Hunt - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Stop by the Visitor Center and pick up a scavenger hunt card. Head out on your adventure, collect all the treasures, and turn in your completed card by 3 p.m. The ranger will have a special prize for all completed scavenger hunt cards.

ONE (1) Free Parking Pass per family unit - valid through December 31, 2024. Free pass must be presented upon entry to the park on the day of use.

Free swim band for each member of your group - valid Memorial Day to Labor Day (May 25, 2024 to September 2, 2024) Redeemable at the Snack Bar only.

Plan to arrive early. Lake Anna State Park experiences capacity crowds on weekends often causing the park to close early. Call the Visitor Center 540-854-6245 to check on the closure status of the park.
