Claytor Crafts: Solar Eclipse Pinhole Viewers

Location of Claytor Lake State Park in Virginia

Where

Claytor Lake State Park, 6620 Ben H. Bolen Dr., Dublin, VA 24084.
Interpretive Campfire Circle - Campground D

When

April 6, 2024. 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Have you ever seen a solar eclipse? The eclipse coming to us on April 8th, 2024 will be a partial solar eclipse, blocking the sun about 80-90%. This means that we will need eye protection when viewing. Join us for a fun and useful craft as we make pinhole viewers and box viewers to witness this astronomical event. Everyone will be able to make a pinhole viewer, but those wanting a box viewer will need to bring your own large cardboard box or mailing tube.
