April 27, 2024. 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Spring has sprung and there are flowers to see. Join Virginia Master Naturalist Melanie Smith as she leads us on a walk to discover what kinds of wildflowers begin to emerge in our region as winter ends. Learn all about the tips and tricks associated with identifying wildflowers, and hear a bit about the folklore associated with them as well.

This hike is in conjunction with the Nature Conservancy's City Nature Challenge. All photos of plants and other organisms inputted into iNaturalist will be part of the challenge to see what locality can identify the most organisms in an area. Let's make Hungry Mother State Park the winner!
