Wanna learn about the natural history of Westmoreland State Park, while also getting information on ideal fossil hunting strategies?

Join a ranger on this one-way hike (0.6miles) down to fossil beach, where they will talk about the unique characteristics of our cliffs and why we find so many fossils in this area. They will also show you fossils and what you are looking for when hunting fossils on the beach. Please bring shoes appropriate for hiking, water, sunscreen, bug spray, and what ever you may need to enjoy the beach. It is recommended to being a sieve or strainer to aid you in your fossil search? Meet at the Discovery Center
