Location of Occoneechee State Park in Virginia

Where

Occoneechee State Park, 1192 Occoneechee Park Rd., Clarksville, VA 23927.
Fisherman's Point

When

July 29, 2023. 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Join us as we discover what lies beneath the surface of Kerr Lake. In this program we will shore fish from one of the most scenic spots on the lake while we learn about what lives in the water and attempt to bring them to the surface. For those who have never fished, this will be the perfect introduction. If you are a seasoned angler, come socialize and catch your limit.

Poles and bait will be provided. All you need is a fishing license if you are 16 years and older. Don’t forget to bring a chair for relaxing. To find the right spot, head to the shelter area and park near Shelter #2, then walk around the gate and past the playground, down to the point where you will meet up with a park ranger waiting with pole in hand.
