Cullers Overlook
When
July 8, 2023. 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Gather at Cullers Overlook to gaze across the river valley as we learn of the winding river and surrounding mountains. Early settlers and George Washington developed plans to utilize the river for transporting goods, leading to the use of unique boats called gundalows. This was a difficult mode of transportation, which was replaced in the mid-1800s by railroads. As a bonus, you will get to hear about George Washington's secret getaway just over the next mountain.
