Butterflies are self-propelled flowers - Robert A. Heinlein. Virginia Master Naturalist Anne Ellis will lead us on a leisurely walk along “Butterfly Alley”. This will be a slow walk appropriate for families. If you are planning to participate in Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s annual butterfly count on August 5 this will be a great time to brush up on your identification skills. We will meet at the parking lot at the end of Sawmill Road. Look for the designated parking area for cars. Please be prepared with sturdy shoes, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and water. Rain cancels. Registration is required and can be done through the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy website Butterfly Walk at Sweet Run State Park - Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy
