Come learn the fishing basics. We have the poles and worms! In this program you will have the opportunity to learn about what fish you can find in the lake, how they survive and the importance of regulating the fishing industry. You will then get to try your hand at fishing under the instruction of a park ranger.
Limited shade is available at this location, so please dress accordingly and bring plenty of sunscreen and water. Guests aged 16 and older are required to obtain a fishing license before fishing on the inland waters of Virginia. Meet at the dock of Boat Ramp #2 located across the field from the Visitor Center.
