Meet in the Massie Gap field and take a short moderate hike to the top of Wilburn Ridge to experience a stunning sunset and enjoy a view you cannot get anywhere else in Virginia. Hear about how the ponies aid in keeping the Balds clear and allow the wavelengths of light to penetrate the atmosphere allowing the vibrant colors of a sunset. Bring a flashlight or headlamp.
