Step back in time to 1939 and get crafty. Before it was known as Pocahontas State Park, this area was called the Swift Creek Recreational Demonstration Area and offered ranger-led activities, just like we do today.

Join us as we explore this piece of park history and get a little creative recreating some of the most popular crafts from the 1930s. This all-ages activity celebrates the park’s past while inviting you to make something inspired by history.
