National Trails Day - Inquisitive on Invasives

Location of Widewater State Park in Virginia

Where

Widewater State Park, 101 Widewater State Park Road, Stafford, VA 22554.
Visitor Center

When

June 3, 2023. 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

There’s something magical about being outdoors but when our native plant species are not able to thrive, the magic starts to dwindle. On this year’s annual National Trails Day, let us reignite that magical spark with an invasives clean-up. Join the ranger as we identify invasive plants along our trails and work to remove them so that all our critters may enjoy the trails once more. Trash bags provided. Bring your own gloves and wear close-toed shoes.

This two-hour event is also a great opportunity for scouts who are working on completing their Environmental Science merit badge.

Pre-registration required. FREE. Please leave a message on the Visitor Center answering machine (540) 288-1400 with your name, number in group, name, date and time of program and your contact information.
