Celebrate Earth Day with Chippokes State Park by participating in our Beach Clean Up. In the words of Woodsy Owl (1971), "Give a hoot; don't pollute!"

Earth Day is a special excuse to find ways to volunteer and make a difference out in your local communities. Volunteer and help out the planet today. Help us keep our shorelines clean and safe for others to enjoy.

Meet at the Visitor Center for instructions and supplies (gloves, available trash grabbers, trash bags. etc.). A Ranger will be out on the beach leading our efforts. Be sure to collect as much trash as you can...there may be a prize for the biggest bag!

If you are able to do so, stick around after and experience our Friends of Chippokes sponsored Garden Tea special event.

Volunteers, father and daughter, collect as much trash as they can along the shorelines of Chippokes.
