National Trails Day - "Trail-ebration"

"Trail-ebrate" National Trails Day by hiking portions of the park's most popular trails. We'll start on Big Poplar to see two of the biggest trees in Pocahontas State Park. Then, we'll follow Ground Pine Path as it makes its way down to Beaver Lake trail. Along the way you'll learn more about the park's history, its wildlife and how to tread lightly.
Approximate 1.5 mile hike over moderate terrain, not suitable for strollers. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Please call (804) 796-4472 or email Rebecca.whalen@dcr.virginia.gov for more information.
