Just as caterpillars grow and change, our Caterpillar Club programs are designed to help your little one grow and change. Each week, we will have you and your child(ren) exploring our natural world through a variety of seasonally appropriate, hands-on activities that will foster children's inborn sense of wonder and curiosity. These experiences are gauged towards early childhood (3-5 years old), but of course, all family members are welcome and encouraged to participate. Every program supports Virginia's Blocks for Early Learning.

Caterpillar Club meets at the VISITOR CENTER starting December 1.

December 1 - Nature Hike: Bundle up and explore the trails around Beaver Lake. Hike will be less than one mile in length and suitable for strollers.

December 10 - Animals in Winter: Discover how local wildlife will spend the upcoming winter.

December 15 - Handmade Holidays: Create nature themed decorations for you or your loved ones.

December 29 - Evergreens in Winter: Touch, smell, see, hear, and taste the season of winter.
