S'MORE CACHING

A holiday activity with a sweet ending using global positioning system technology. Use a GPS app on your mobile phone, or borrow on of our hand-held units. Visit the Ranger Table at the Lakeside Snack Bar and get the first of three coordinates of three separate geocaches. In the first cache will be a ticket for one element in a s'more –  a chocolate bar, a graham cracker cookie, or a marshmallow, and the coordinates of the second cache. Find the second cache to get another ingredients ticket and the coordinates of the third cache with the third ingredients ticket. Bring your three tickets back to the Ranger Table within the allotted time, and get your s’mores kit. There you can also make a pine cone fire starter to get you going on your tasty treat.

New to geocaching? We’ll give you some instruction with our units. Use of the units will be free of charge, but will require submitting proof of identification and signing a loan-out sheet. Only one unit per group will be available.
