Come explore our Dark Sky Park! Join park rangers as they teach you about the night sky, observe the Geminids meteor shower, and discuss the effects of light pollution. Meet the rangers at the Skyline Trail parking lot and walk our beautiful trail up to Jefferson Point. Be sure to bring something comfortable to sit on and a red light flashlight if you have one, and bundle up for the cold!

Program Details:

Unless otherwise stated, all Dark Sky programs will take place at Skyline Trail. Parking will be provided at the Skyline Trail parking lot. A short, moderate hike to Jefferson Point will be necessary to attend the program.

All programs are weather dependent. If a program is cancelled due to weather, we will have alternative Dark Sky programs offered indoors. Please monitor our website and social media for program updates or call the park to receive real-time information: (540) 291-1326.
