When

Oct. 29, 2022. 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Bats tirelessly work during the warm months to build up fat stores to hibernate during the winter. Unfortunately, a fungus has been growing in the caves used by many of our bats that robs them of those fat stores. Investigate how this fungus arrived in our caves, how it is spread, and how losing bats will damage the ecosystem. We will conduct an experiment that shows how easily this fungus can spread, and how you can help. Suitable for all ages.

This is part of our programming for Bat Week, October 24-31. Please visit www.batweek.org for more information.
