When
Sept. 25, 2022. 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Surrounded on three sides by water, the Widewater peninsula is no stranger to erosion. Slow geological changes like erosion can affect not only the landscape, wildlife, and ecosystems around us, but they also have a big impact on humans. Learn about the five main types of erosion that can occur, their impact, and which types are affecting the park's shorelines. Using a sand tray, rangers will demonstrate each type of erosion to show the impact it has on the soil.
