Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Kayak Tour

Paddle your way around the park’s unique ecosystem. Your guide will provide instruction on kayak skills and safety and then lead a tour of the lake. These are kayaks that only hold one person and there are a  limited number of  kayaks available, so registration and payment in advance through the park office is required. The fee is $5 per person, and all needed equipment is provided. Open to persons ages 8 years and up. Persons younger than 12 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Close-toed footwear with at least a heel strap is required.
