Hiking is a wonderful activity that has many mental and physical benefits, however, it can be a daunting activity if one hasn’t tried it before. Join us on a two hour hike along our Panhandle Trail where we will discuss how to prepare for a hike, choosing your first solo hike, and how to gauge your hiking level. By the end of this program you will know what to do before, during, and after a hike in order to remain safe and get the most out of your hike.
This can be a long hike for those who are new to the activity, Please ensure everyone in your party has proper footwear (close-toed shoes with plenty of grip) and clothing (light-weight clothing in the summer, warm clothing in the winter). Please also bring plenty of water.
