July 13th is an open trail night at High Bridge, when visitors may stay on the trail in the High Bridge vicinity until 11 pm. In the time leading up to dusk, bats are often seen in the sky around High Bridge diving and darting in the air as they feast upon flying insects. Meet our park naturalist to learn about these mammals of the air and their role in our environment. After the program, you may see a number of them as you enjoy the open trail night.
