In honor of our National event, Girl Scouts love Virginia State Parks, we're hosting a ranger-led, Leave No Trace Hike.  This hike will take place along the Big Meadow Trail (1.2 mile round trip).

A ranger will teach participants the 7 principles of Leave No Trace.  All participants will receive a laminated pocket guide so that they can share what they've learned with others.  During this hike, participants will be allowed to go off trail to pick up trash. We will continue trash clean up at the beach and then we will ascend back up the trail to throw away the trash in the designated trash bins.

This is a community opportunity to get active in the great outdoors and lead by example for creating a cleaner and healthier trails and river environment.
