Do you like to get muddy and search for the tiniest critters living in a stream or pond? Ecosystems are quite complex and diverse.
This is a ranger-led aquatic dip netting adventure alongside one of our paved trails (1.2 roundtrip). We will meet at the Discovery Center and walk a small ways to the Rock Spring Pond Trailhead.
Using ID sheets for stream insects, macroinvertebrates, and crustaceans, let's determine which species we've collected! Once we've determined the species we can learn more about each one! This event is part of our National Girl Scouts love Virginia State Parks celebration.
