Come spot our local turtles sunbathing on the Clinch River.

Join a park ranger for a hike that meanders along the river to search for sunbathing turtles. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own binoculars but the park will have a limited supply of binoculars to be able to take a closer look. Some species of turtles that can be seen on this hike are the rare Eastern Spiny Softshell, Snapping Turtle, Eastern Painted Turtle, and Eastern River Cooter. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water.
