April 24, 2022. 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Have you ever wondered what it means to Leave No Trace? The Seven Principles of Leave No Trace are a framework of practices that help to minimize the impact on outdoor settings, especially our public lands. Originating in backcountry settings, these principles can be practiced in any and all outdoor spaces, no matter how big or how small.

Hike along Long Pond Trail to learn each principle and how it can be put into practice when in a state park. This hike will be approximately 1 mile in length. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes, dress appropriately for the weather, use bug spray, and bring plenty of water.
