Douthat State Park is the perfect place to look up and do some stargazing. Pick up a monthly night sky map at the park office. You don’t need a telescope to see some terrific constellations.

We are in the process of meeting the requirements to be recognized as a Dark Sky Park by the International Dark Sky Association (IDA). To learn more about the IDA and the importance of protecting the dark sky, one of our most precious natural resources, visit https://www.darksky.org/.
