Experience an evening of fun with tinsmithing and spooky stories around a campfire at Freestone Beach as we celebrate cooler fall weather!

Tinsmithing 5-6 p.m. Spend the first hour of the evening learning about the traditional art of tinsmithing and create your own lantern to take home. Supplies are limited so please register by calling the visitor center and leaving a message at 703-583-6904.

Campfire Stories 6-7 p.m. As the sun sets hear spooky stories from Prince William County's past and learn about the nocturnal critters of Leesylvania. Bring a blanket or chairs to sit on. S'mores supplies will be provided by the Friends of Leesylvania. All are welcome!

This event is free however the standard parking fee applies. Park gates close at 6:30 p.m. so be sure to arrive before then to attend the program. To reach Freestone Beach, follow the main road until you see a sign for the Picnic Area. You may park in the paved or gravel lots, and then follow the Potomac Trail to your left. The trail ends at the Freestone fishing pier and beach. For questions, call the visitor center at 703-583-6904.
