Fall Wildlife Tram Tour

Take a 4 hour guided tour through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge and False Cape State Park! Spot wildlife from the Blue Goose Tram and learn the history of this spectacular area. Participants can be dropped off at the visitor center at False Cape and picked up at the end of the tour, or they can continue with the tram to the Wash Woods church and cemetery site for a guided hike (1 mile round trip). Please note, the tram does not transport campers.

From Labor Day through Halloween, the tram tour runs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings. Cost: $8 per person, entrance fee for Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge is $5 per car, or $2 per group of pedestrians or cyclists. Reservations are required. Make reservations by calling the park at (757) 426-7128 during Visitor Center hours (9 am to 4 pm).

To protect the safety of participants and staff: 1) Participant numbers may be limited based on current COVID guidelines. 2) Participants MUST wear a face covering on the tram. 3) Participants must pre-pay for the tour. 4) Participants cannot attend the tour if they have any of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
