Do you enjoy bird watching? Whether you are an avid birder or just starting out, join us for the 2021 Kiptopeke Birding Challenge. This birding challenge caters to both novice and experienced birders. Beginning birders will receive a simplified birding guide to the park, and earn a small prize after spotting 5 of the 30 birds on the guide! Return when you've found 10 for an additional small prize!

Advanced birders will receive a copy of the Birds of the Eastern Shore: Southern Tip list, and compete to see who can see the most birds! Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third places!

This event is free, and presented by Kiptopeke State Park with assistance from DWR. Stop by our table by the Hawkwatch to receive copies of the birding lists as well as information about Kiptopeke and DWR, or download them above! We will also have binoculars available for loan and will be giving demos on how to use them to anyone interested in trying them out!
