When
Oct. 9, 2021. 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Immerse yourself in Appalachian history on a beautiful fall day while you wander from booth to booth learning new, but old skills. We will have artisans demonstrating basket weaving, Appalachian toy making, broom making, leather working, and more. Enjoy presentations at the gazebos as various Virginia Master Naturalists talk about edible/medicinal plants, Native Americans from the area, Virginia Wildlife and Appalachian Horror. Stay and hear campfire stories from a professional storyteller over a warm campfire to chase the chill of the cool October evening away. Don't forget to ride the wagon pulled by an antique tractor up to our pumpkin field to pick out a pumpkin to carve. Donations are appreciated.
